Get Ready to Be Challenged
Supernova is where ideas are born and spread. Just ask the company founders who met there, the startups who found investors there, and the attendees who first learned about topics like social networking, user-generated content, enterprise social software, Google's breathtaking ambitions, buzz marketing, microformats, virtual worlds, prediction markets, the long tail and more.
Ideas ignite when differing perspectives collide. At Supernova 2007, we unveil a day of Connected Challenges at the Wharton West campus. These galvanizing discussions among business and technology leaders are designed to challenge your understanding and stimulate insights around key topics.
Defining the New Network
Supernova examines the effects of an increasingly connected world on business, life, and public policy. As disparate physical and social networks link with one another, a new societal network is rapidly evolving.
The New Network is greater than the sum of its parts. It challenges us to re-create everything from the software and hardware we use...to the business models we employ...to the information and entertainment we encounter...to the ways we work and play. At Supernova 2007, we'll explore these new challenges. Session and Connected Challenge topics include:
Dark Matter: Are We Missing the Real Internet Economy? Virtual Life or Virtual Hype? Enterprise IT: The Next Great Disruption? Better Broadband? Is "User-Generated Content" the Future, or the Last Gasp of the Past? Do You Know Where Your Identity Is? Social Media, Social Commerce, Social Communications Making Computers Smart: A Dumb Idea? Is the Network Neutrality Battle Over or Has it Just Begun? Conversational Advertising: Attention vs. Engagement Will Copyright Kill Social Media? Innovation in the Age of Abundance Does the Internet Need an Upgrade?
